How many envelopes, place cards, oyster shells, etc. should I give you?

Please provide 20% extra paper goods or materials than you need written to account for any changes to your guest list, additions, and occasional mistakes.

How long will it take for you to address my envelopes?

In general, please allow 10 days for every 100 envelopes to be addressed.

How long will it take you to complete my place cards or escort cards?

In general, please allow 5 days for every 100 place cards or escort cards to be written.

I need my envelopes or event materials done faster than that! Do you offer rush services?

I love helping clients achieve tight timelines, so don’t hesitate to ask if you need a faster turnaround. Additional fees may apply.

How should I send you my address list? What format should I use?

For envelope addressing, please email your complete address list to jenny@jennypaxton.com in a centered Word document as you would like them to appear on your envelopes. Click here for a sample and template.

I would like my calligraphy written in colored ink. Can you do that? Does it cost more?

Colored, white or metallic ink are all available at no extra charge! Just let me know your color choice so I can have it ready when your project arrives.

My envelopes are colored/opaque and/or have a liner. Do you charge extra to address them?

There is no extra charge for colored, opaque or lined envelopes!

When is payment due?

A deposit of 50% of the anticipated total is due at the start of the project and will be applied to your final balance. The remainder of the final total is due upon completion of the project.

How do I get you my envelopes?

Clients local to the Washington, DC area are welcome to drop off and pick up their items in person or arrange a hand off. Otherwise, you or your stationery designer is welcome to mail your paper goods to me. The cost for shipping your completed project back to you will be added to your final balance.

Do you do calligraphy at events, parties, or stores?

Yes! I love doing on site calligraphy and creating personalized take aways for your guests or customers. My rates can be found here or feel free to contact me for more details

I’ve decided I would like you to do my calligraphy! What do I do next?

I’m honored! Please contact me (via email, phone or the contact form here) to see if I have your date available on my calendar. Once I confirm availability for your timeline, you can submit your address list, drop off or mail your items for calligraphy and pay your deposit. I can’t wait to work with you!

Can you provide paper products for my calligraphy project?

All prices here assume that the client provides all the paper products. However, I am happy to provide paper products for many of my services for an additional fee. 

Do you teach calligraphy?

Yes! I love teaching others the art of calligraphy. It is one of my favorite things I do. You can find a list of already scheduled classes here. I am also happy to provide private classes or come to your home, office or other venue and provide a class. Please contact me for more details.
